A light at the end of the tunnel

A viral infection just about got the best of me.  I feel more "alive" today than I have in several days.  I'm sure a bird flies over and sprinkles those germs all over.  So many people are experiencing the same problem.

I have coughed so much that I'm sure Wayford wants to put me in the garage.  He has been very patient with me though because he want me to be there to put ointment  in his eye at night.  I would say these are the joys of growing old but these things are not limited to people our age.

When I would lie down my bronchial tubes were playing an orchestra.  One night I almost got tickled because it sounded like a dove cooing.  I tried every home remedy I had ever heard of. I even put Vicks on the bottom of my feet!  Why? I had heard that would help.   Nothing worked.  I now am taking an antibiotic, which is not supposed to work for a viral but either it is working or time is working.

About the only thing I accomplished this week was to get some reading done.  Feeling better sure is sweet!!

MRI day

Wayford experienced his first MRI today.  When he was finished he said "Well that was a new experience!"  Marcia was a bit jealous that he was not claustrophobic.  He nearly went to sleep while they were doing the imaging.  Linda and I just went along for the lunch.  Many people are saying they see an improvement in the Bell's Palsy.  We are encouraged by those comments.

These pictures are comparison shots.  The  first one was taken in November(the one that has a date on the photo).  The second two were taken this week.  We think you can see a significant difference.  The eye is still not completely closing at night so we still have the regimen of putting ointment in his eye.
